The CeME Lab Co-Directors are Liza Potts, PhD and Kathie Gossett, PhD. CeME also has several faculty associates from the Department of English and faculty affiliates from a range of departments and programs across the campus. In addition, CeME is staffed by graduate and undergraduate research assistants.

Liza Potts, PhD

Liza Potts is the co-director of the CeME Lab and an assistant professor at Old Dominion University. Her research interests include technologically-mediated communication, experience design, and participatory culture. She has worked in the Internet and software industries since 1994 as a director of design research, usability expert, information architect, program manager, and technical communicator. She received her doctorate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Kathie Gossett, PhD

Kathie Gossett is the co-director of the CeME Lab and an assistant professor at Old Dominion University. Her research interests include intellectual property and digital copyright, open source design and technologically-mediated communication. Prior to returning to graduate school she worked in the information technology sector as an implementation project manager, database adminstrator, systems designer, Y2K integration manager, web designer/architect, and technical communicator. She received her doctorate at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
